(2011 Card#33) Thinking of You

Flowers were made by Inking  on 1 side of embossing folder from Dots & Flowers set by Sizzix. Then I heat embossed with Magenta EP. Then cut out different sized flowers with Fiskars punches. I cut slit down 1 petal & glued adjacent petals together (that decreased # of petals by 1 & formed a cup) I then curled petals & glued 3 sizes together.  I added glittery heart shank buttons to center, & Flower button to center of ribbon.   Stamp is from Sentiments collection by American Crafts. Paper: CoreDinations & DejaViews. Elegant Flourishes die by Tim Holtz with Sizzix (Added pearls to flourishes).  Ribbon from Michaels.

(2011 Card#28) Hippo/Balloon

This is for my beautiful grand daughter Minnie who is 9 & having the biggest surgery of her life!  This is her final surgery on her back after having the "halo traction treatment since Dec 14".  The surgery prep starts at 5 am & The surgery is supposed to last 14 hours.  She needs our prayers as well as the doctors & mom & dad & brother!!!!  Sweet dreams of Zoos & Hot Air Balloon Rides sweetie!

(2011 card#26) Butterfly

                                            Embossed CoreDiNations paper with Leafy Branches folder by Cuttlebug. Then sanded raised branches to reveal green core. Stamped butterfly from "Ecclectic Summer" from StampTV & heat embossed with black, then painted with LuminArte Powdered Pigments mixed with gum arabic. Tied silk flowers with string/aka thread. (Colored yellow flowers with Copic marker).  Classic Oval from Spellbinders for frame.

(2011 card #25) Hearts of Love

This is the Hearts Overflowing card method by Michael Strong.  This is such a fun method since the card & envelope are all in one...I will be doing this again & again!  It will work well for anniversary cards too.
My heart stamp was an old wood mounted that I got at a garage sale & then unmounted...I don't even know the maker...sorry!
