Digital image is Fall Fairy from DigiStamps4Joy. I colored it with LuminArte and PearlEX powdered pigments that I mixed with Gum Arabic. Her face really looks faint pink...the powdered pigment used for her face was PearlEX #680 Red-Blue and with the flash the blue caught the light, where with the naked eye I see faint pink! Swirls are cut with Tim Holtz Sizzix Elegant Flourishes die. Papers from Prima Marketing Co. The Breathe Collection stack. Pearls from Joanns.

(2011 Card #61) Sympathy
Sympathy card made for a dear friend of mine who just lost her sister to cancer.
Focal image & sentiment stamps are from GinaK Designs Framed Sentiments by GinaK.
I heat embossed with black EP. I colored with Copics.
For the tone on tone background I followed Gina K's Tutorial for using Impressabilities and Stenciling with Impressabilities used Spellbinders Impressabilities Fleur De Lis was first inked gently by daubing (they are very fragile & will bend if you try to rub ink on) with Versamark then on top of that I daubed ColorBox Canary then Ochre. I ran yellow paper with the Impressabilities (ink side down on the paper) through my Cuttlebug with an embossing pad. I then added clear EP & heat embossed. For the focal I also inked with the same Impressabilities without using the Versamark & no heat embossing on the same yellow paper, then cut out with Spellbinders Fleur De Lis dies. Accented with pink ribbon from Michaels.
Challenges:

The Iris is a digital from Doodle Pantry. I used the Crayon Resist technique from GinaK's StampTV site. Then cut out using Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circles Large. Then (leaving it in the die) sponged blue ink just around the edges of the die. Used corner punch from Emagination.

(2011 Card #56) Christ is Risen
Jesus was bound, tried, scourged, Mark 15:17 "They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him." CONTEXT PASSAGE: Mark 15: 16-20 then....He submitted to crucifiction to pay the price for our sins. He suffered death and separation from the Father, but the grave could NOT hold Him.....He arose on the third day so that we might receive the gift of God's forgiveness and live with Him throughout eternity. CHRIST IS RISEN, HE IS RISEN INDEED! He is the Redeemer to those who believe on Him & ask for His forgiveness, accepting His gift of salvation!
I made my card using scraps in my craft room... trying to redeem bits & pieces to another purpose rather than thrown away.
