Strathmore Online Workshops (free)

There is a great Free Doodles Unleashed Workshop 1 - Traci Bautista, Instructor.  You can find it HERE
It just started Jan 1...you may still be able to sign up... its a work at your own pace workshop.

The really FUN  part of this for me is that my daughter-in-law Rach & my grandaughter Minnie in Texas are taking it too!  And we are getting together online & VIDEO CHATTING while we are "creating".....we had so much fun yesterday!!!!! Here's the finished project.

This is really a S T R E T C H   for me!!!!  I'm used to stamping & inking, blending, sponging....NOT  using a paintbrush & paint! Here's the first px I took, I forgot to do one right after spraying on the masks. So I've already painted circles over some of the circles left by the rubber band masks.

And here is another after I started doodling with white correction pen & india ink.
I have to admit, I am having a hard time letting the "free flow" doodling happen. I loved the splattered background look so much that I didn't cover it up with paint or paint wash. I also need to stop thinking of what I want it to represent & just let whatever happens happen...

I'm basically finished, but want to add journaling...This piece stems from my thoughts on Sunday's Sermon (Jesus is the fulfillment of prophecy in Isiah 9:6.  He is Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace)   The Light of the world is Hope, Star of David in the flower... Rainbow of God's Promise.etc.
(The top px has the journaling added)

  1. I keep gessoing over mine. I just need to go with the flow. Saw yours over at Strathmore. Love it!

  2. I really like seeing your process images...love those flowers!! :) It compliments the scripture perfectly. I was just reading in Genesis the other day about the promise behind the rainbow. What a nice addition to your piece! Cheers!
