I printed the digi from the free weekly sample from Mary Davis, Dover Publications. Then I painted the image using LuminArte Powdered Pigments mixed with Gum Arabic. The image was then cut out with Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities and then blue was sponged around the inside of die. Then I sponged the estreme edge with Ranger's Vintage Photo Distress ink. The matting papers are Basic Grey and the brown matting is Recollections from Michaels. Fly is from We R Memory Keepers $1. I tied twine through the button.
I LOVE OWLS!!! So Imagine my delight when I heard hooting just outside my front door one day around dusk(April 2010)!!! I opened the sliding door and one owl flew out of the oak tree right in front of me, but his or her Sweetheart stayed for about half an hour for a nice photo shoot and I took a bajillion pictures!! It was so dusky that I had to photoshop them a lot to get more light on the owl (owl was pretty dark at first) Isn't he or she BEAUTIFUL!!!!

ReplyDeleteLove your owl card! So super cool that the owl sat by your door for you to take photos! I get very thrilled about birds and getting good photos of them! Actually just last night an owl flew only feet in front of my car and I got to see him flying in the lights. I was going very slow on my driveway so no concern, but it still startled me, but quickly became joy! It always feels so special doesn't it?
